Description of the

          Lower House

The Lower House has two bedrooms and two baths, a living area, pictured here, that opens on to the porch and pool.  The Lower House also features a spacious outdoor living area. The living area opens onto the pool and bay on one side; the patio and fountain on the other side.  This space is filled with Dave's original oil paintings as well as art that we have collected during our travels in Mexico,

GUEST REVIEW: Cissy M. - Jan. 2018

...when we first stepped in the gate, the feeling of "ahhh , it's perfect " told me we had made the right choice. The design of the house takes perfect advantage of the site and the views, with maximum privacy, but always open to views and the wonderful breezes. The pool is wonderful, the staff could not be more friendly and the food was delicious!

Lower House Master Bedroom

The Master bedroom opens onto the living area and the outdoor covered patio. A large en-suite bathroom leads directly off the bedroom. Decorated with hand-loomed linens and original oils, this room can be shuttered at night if youprefer to sleep with A/C. Or, leave the windows open and turn on the ceiling fan and be rocked to sleep by the sound of the waves.

The Lower House kitchen was completely renovated in summer of 2014. Featuring custom cabinets

of parota wood and granite countertops accented with

talavera tile.

All new appliances, plenty of pantry and cabinet space make this a gourmet cook's dream!

Extras include: Cuisinart food processor, Blender, Sorbet maker, Slow-cooker

I  just returned from a week in paradise at Casa Del Platero. This beautiful and well appointed home is located conveniently on La Ropa Beach in Zihuatanejo Bay. If you enjoy spectacular sunsets while sipping margaritas, Casa Del Platero is your next vacation spot. The recently renovated chef’s kitchen is well equipped for cooking fresh local fish from the market. Dining al fresco on the large family style table on the covered patio was perfect.q. feet for main house

Lower House Dining Room

The dining room is open on two sides to the breeze and a fabulous view of the bay. The built-in table seats 8 guests. A wall sconce with candles turns this area into a romantic place for any meal.

Below is a private patio just off the Lower House Master bedroom with a view of the Sierra Madres and the Bay.

Close to the beach...

This is how close the beach is...pictured is our patio and the south end of La Ropa Beach immediately below. The beach extends a mile around the crescent of they Bay...we love to do early morning and sunset beach walks.
